About Special Interest Groups
These groups provide local government professionals working in similar fields with a valuable opportunity to network, share best practice, improve practices and knowledge by learning what their counterparts are doing, and learn about the latest developments.
Each Special Interest Group is supported by an online community which allows people to share information and find answers to questions and problems, in many cases almost instantly. People who join our Special Interest Groups are automatically signed up to a relevant forum so they can start tapping into the knowledge of others. Accessing knowledge from individuals who work in a similar environment is invaluable and should never be underestimated.
If you are unable to attend Special Interest Group meetings, you can access the live stream for many of our Special Interest Groups. We also provide a platform through our online community resource libraries, where people from the Special Interest Group network can reference and listen back to streamed recordings in their own time.
To join a Special Interest Group, email us at info@lgpro.com
Note on eligibility:
LGPro’s Special Interest Group Network is accessible to Victorian local government employees only. In signing up for subscription to LGPro’s Special Interest Group Network, you undertake to LGPro that you are a Victorian local government employee and not a contractor. That is, you are employed by a Victorian local government entity (e.g. a council) and have all associated benefits and entitlements of employment (for example, entitlement to annual leave etc). LGPro reserves its right to request proof of your Victorian local government employment status at any time. If LGPro becomes aware that you are a contractor and not an employee, your subscription will be cancelled with immediate effect and the relevant local government entity to whom you provide services may be notified.
