Cancellation Policy
Yours and LGPro's rights and responsibilities in relation to the cancellation of an LGPro event or program.
The following policy document - Local Government Professionals Inc Cancellation Policy - covers all Local Government Professionals Inc (“LGPro”) events and programs that do not have their own bespoke policy. If a discrete policy exists, its terms supersede this policy.
In the event of a cancellation scenario not being addressed by the clauses of an event or program’s discrete policy document, this document is to be referred to (and vice versa).
By registering for an LGPro event or program, you accept the terms of this policy document and/or the terms of that event or program’s cancellation policy.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Terms related to customer requests:
- All cancellation requests must be received by LGPro in writing via info@lgpro.com
- Non-payment will not be accepted as a form of cancellation.
- LGPro will accept the substitution of a delegate in lieu of a cancellation, providing they meet any and all selection criteria. In the event of a difference between membership tiers of the original and substituted delegate, additional fees may be accrued.
- Unless otherwise specified, the following refunds will be available for programs:
- 21 days or more prior to commencement of program: Full refund or transfer to the next available program intake, noting that application fee increases may apply to subsequent programs
- 7-20 days prior: 50% refund or transfer to the next available program intake, noting that application fee increases may apply to subsequent programs
- 1-6 days prior: No refund or transfer available. - Unless otherwise specified, the following refunds will be available for events:
- 7 days or more prior to event: full refund or transfer available where appropriate, noting that registration fee increases may apply to subsequent events
- Less than 7 days prior to event: no refund or transfer available.
Terms related to LGPro adjustments:
- LGPro reserves the right to defer, amend or cancel an event or program at any time at its discretion, including its delivery method.
- LGPro events and programs are organised with a minimum number of attendees for budgetary and quality reasons. An event may be deferred, amended or cancelled for this reason.
PUBLIC HEALTH PROVISIONS
The following section outlines provisions addressing cancellations, deferments and alterations related to public health directives.
The safety of event and program delegates is the primary interest of LGPro, followed by the maintenance of quality in delivery of its events and programs to ensure the best outcomes for delegates.
To this end:
- LGPro reserves the right to defer, amend or cancel an event or program at any time in response to government-mandated restrictions and health provisions, including any legally binding directions including those issued under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic).
- LGPro reserves the right to defer, amend or cancel an event or program at any time to meet its health and safety obligations to employees, hirers, contractors, members of the public or other persons in response public health issues.
- LGPro reserves the right to change the delivery method of a program or event in response to government-mandated restrictions and health provisions related to public health issues.
- LGPro will accept the substitution of a delegate or event/program transfer following Cancellation Policy terms for any delegate following their obligations to government-mandated restrictions and health provisions related to public health issues that prevent their participation, including any legally binding directions including those issued under the Public Health and Wellbeing Act 2008 (Vic).
