About the SIG
Customer service in Local Government is forever changing and this SIG offers staff working in customer service in Local Government the opportunity to build professional networks, share information, identify, share and implement best practice policies and procedures. SIG meetings will be held every three months and will include Council case studies, project updates, guest speakers and workshops that are specifically related to current industry topics. Being part of the LGPro Customer Service SIG will allow you to meet and network with many talented customer service professionals across all Council's in Victoria. It's a great way to share and collaborate while benchmarking your own programs and activities.

Customer Service Online Forum
An online forum supports this SIG and its members. We believe that accessing knowledge from individuals who work in a similar environment is invaluable and should never be underestimated. Our forums are just for people working in Local Government and there are many benefits to participating in them. They are a great way to keep in touch in between meetings, by asking your fellow SIG colleagues questions and sharing resources. Agendas, minutes and presentations will also be posted on the forum.

As a LGPro and SIG group member for the past 15 years, I've had the pleasure of leading Customer Service Teams with Knox and Maroondah City Council. As a change management specialist, I have enjoyed using my systems background to apply both strategic and technological changes that have assisted to enhance customer contact within Local Government.
I have always enjoyed the opportunity to network with Victorian Councils who have always been happy to share and collaborate around the change landscape of customer service. I enjoy connecting people, process, and technology to achieve successful outcomes.
Customer service delivery in Local Government has evolved over the past decade and the LGPro SIG Network has continually provided great opportunities to share ideas, showcase innovation and benchmark performance across the sector.
With the support of LGPro and several customer service professional across Victoria we are ready to support the Customer Service SIG and look forward to an exciting 2018, where we continue to provide ongoing networking opportunities that allow everyone working in customer service roles the chance to share and collaborate into the future.
