What is the difference between Council Subscription and Individual Membership?

Council subscription covers your Council as an organisation and the benefits relate to the Council. Individual membership is for staff working in Local Government and offers discounts on a range of events and professional development programs and activities. Please note, you cannot access Individual Member discounts to programs, events and conferences using your organisation's Council subscription. 

How much does membership cost?

Membership costs vary depending on the category of membership you choose.  Costs for Individual membership are outlined on our website here, and costs for Council subscription are outined here. In many cases Councils will assist with your membership fees so check with your manager or Human Resources department.

How do I pay for my membership?

You can pay by credit card (VISA or MasterCard), cheque, EFT, or monthly or quarterly instalments by direct debit from your credit card or deductions from your fortnightly pay.

Can I find my Member or event registration invoice online?

Yes, if you are an existing member please log on via Online Registration on our website using your log on and password. You will find your invoices in your LGPro My Account. You are able to download a PDF copy of your invoice by clicking in View Invoice, then click on the red Acrobat icon top left of screen. If you would like to pay your membership online with your credit card, click My Account top right of screen, then click Renew Now, botton left of screen and follow the prompts.

What is the difference between a Member username and password and a forum username and password?

All Members are provided with a Member username and password that is unique to them. These allow you to manage your LGPro profile information, register and pay for events. Non members may also have a username and password that allows them to manage their LGPro profile information, register and pay for events.

An LGPro forum username is provided to people who register for access to LGPro's Special Interest Group forums.
