Canberra Behind the Scenes is a unique initiative designed to foster engagement between local government professionals and Australian Government departments and agencies. 

This program provides a platform for senior leaders like CEOs and Directors to engage with their counterparts in the Federal Government and participate in meaningful discussions about policies and programs that directly impact local government operations. Through these interactions, participants gain valuable insights into priorities and ongoing policy developments at the federal level.

In addition to formal presentations, the program emphasises the importance of networking and engagement. Delegates will have ample opportunities to interact with their peers, other delegates, and presenters, allowing them to ask pertinent questions and build stronger relationships. This collaborative environment is intended to facilitate a deeper understanding of the government's direction and priorities, ultimately leading to improved relationships and more informed policy-making.
