Yarra City Council and Polykala are excited to announce the launch of Working with Pride, an experiential leadership training program designed for people managers and emerging leaders that want to foster a more inclusive and vibrant workplace for LGBTIQ employees.
We are assembling a panel of leading LGBTIQ personalities to talk about their experiences and respond to the provocation 'There is NO pride in Australian workplaces'.
Brenda Appleton (Co-Chair Victoria LGBTI Taskforce), Jason Ball (Victoria's Young Australian of the Year), Rowena Allen (Victoria's first Commissioner for Gender & Sexuality), and Rebecca Scott (Founder and CEO, STREAT) have agreed to be our panellists.
Melbourne Playback Theatre Company is going to perform after the panel by drawing on the panellists stories and the audience's experiences of working with (or without) pride.
The launch will be held at the Fitzroy Town Hall on Thursday 2 February (6.30pm onwards) as part of the Midsumma Festival. For tickets, please go to the Midsummer Festival website.
We look forward to seeing you there!
