This year’s Social Media Conference will be held on Wednesday 10 May at Rydges Melbourne, 186 Exhibition Street, Melbourne. The theme of this year’s conference is Social Success with Less – reaching your community regardless of resources and explores how effective social media practice can bridge the communications gap between Council and the community without blowing the budget. The conference targets everyone working in the digital media space in Councils including the areas of communications, PR and community engagement.
The program includes a keynote address by Jules Lund, TRIBE founder, TV and radio host. Several concurrent workshops will be offered as well as lightning talks, an on the couch session and an informal debrief with colleagues over drinks and canapes. Please refer to the registration brochure for further information.

Be part of our Lightning Talk presentations
Due to the popularity of the Lightning Talks at our 2016 Social Media Conference, we are calling for expressions of interest from Councils interested in being involved in 2017. Individuals are invited to present on a social media initiative that their Council has implemented, or is in the process of implementing, that focuses on achieving success with minimal resources. Presentations will be six minutes with a further four minutes allocated for questions at the conclusion of each. To submit you expression of interest complete the EOI form in the Links & Downloads box below.
